• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Let’s see them in a back four and under Duff management, then judge the combo of player + coach.

As for Naughton, he was signed as much for his ability to mould the dressing room as he was to play. His wages won’t be high.

3 at the back is a good system but we don't have 3 collectively good enough to run with this. RM kept harping on about young and brave but it clearly obvious all 3 of our CB's are playing to their ceiling of ability which is sadly lacking. Maybe a 4 at the back will cover the cracks a bit but isn't a solution.

3 at the back may be a good system but if you haven't got players suited to it or capable of playing it, the sensible thing to do is to not use it. The stupid thing to do is to persist with it. The managers' job is to make the best team out of the players he's got and trying to shoehorn them into a system that has a 2+ season track record of failure is a recipe for failure.
