That was a better performance than we put up against Forest, Brentford, Barnsley or Rotherham - those results glossed over the problems especially among fans who kept saying 'it's the sign of a good team that we grind out results but we got the points'. As we found out under Monk that approach only works so often.
The fact was Huddersfield weren't that good - neat tidy and had a bit of pace. Even when we went down there was little evidence of fight ... passes kept going to no one, movement off the ball was al most non-existent, Woodman was throwing up his arms because he had no targets, tackles were missed, huge spaces were left ope in midfield and hoofed ball were overhit.
Another really poor performance in the week was rewarded with no change.

Did dickythorpe miss his medication? Woodman is a Newcastle player so of course he's ambitious to play for Newcastle. I'm really struggling to see why DickyThorpe is annoyed about that.

Nothing beats a good old fashioned over reaction to a defeat and this is the epitomy of one.
Every player was disappointing today from "one of our own" Connor Roberts to "one of somebody else's ( until the summer - who knows ). Conor Hourihane
Probably like yourself, I can remember end of season 1977, when we were odds on to get promotion. Had to beat a mid table Watford already on the beach to put ourselves in with an excellent chance of promotion. We lost 4-2 and in spite of beating champions Cambridge United in the last game away, we missed out.
The following season Tosh's Super Swans had four games to go and seemed to be cruising towards promotion.
Away to Grimsby on the Tuesday followed by a nice day out at Northampton to virtually seal promotion.
Easy surely ?
By 4.45 on the Saturday players fans and management must have thought they had thrown away a golden chance.
In the end of course we put it right.
Today we lost for the first time in 10 league games ( I think) and yiu are throwing your toys out of the pram.
If we do a Brentford and lose three on the trot ( after they went all that time without losing) then I will start to panic a little.
However we face Coventry in the week and have an ideal chance to put it right.
The players will need no motivation to put things right
