As you may recall from another post, I brought my French mate over to see the mighty Swans win on Tuesday night. It's his first time in the UK, believe it or not.
Having wednesday morning to kill before heading back to Cardiff airport, I brought him to Swansea and down the Mumbles. We drove around to Langland, the sun was shining, the tide was right in with waves crashing on the shore, we walked around the coastal path towards Caswell as far as the viewing point over the Bristol Channel. My mate declared it magnificent, and I have to agree.
Then took him to see my old house just off Caswell Drive, and back down to Mumbles for his first ever pint of London Pride in The Pilot, followed by a fab pizza in Verdis. As a final treat for him, called into Morrisons on the way back to the airport and bought Ginsters pasties ("une pâtissierie salée") for the flight back. Spoilt him or what?

The Gower Riviera at its best.
