• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

A number of top clubs are sniffing around Azeem Abdulai… surely he needed to be in and around the first team more next season… always looked very good when I’ve seen him for U21s.

Media reports have likened him to Jude Bellingham

Getting to the age where he'll be wanting first team football soon, we leave it a bit too late to introduce them to it here in my humble opinion, his agent will be out working overtime now.

Maybe we could get him a decent loan in L1 with the option to re call, guarantees to be integrated into the first team if successful using Oli Cooper as an example.

I agree with the age thing, e.g. Oli Cooper only made it into the first team at the age of 21 and Brandon Cooper has only made 5 first team appearances at the age of 23. Young players aren't going to want to wait around until their early/mid 20s before playing first team football, especially when we have other club's young players (Sorinola, Cundle etc) developing in the team instead. If the young players aren't going to play, sell them instead of farming them out on loan for the duration of their contract.

It would be great to see some of the U23s given a real chance to be part of the squad in the coming season, Congreve and Thomas to name a couple

Must be new contract season. He's a decent young player but very difficult to get minutes in his position given how much depth we have there. When we have called up a central midfielder recently it's tended to be u21s captain Cotterill who is 3 years younger.

Azeem's getting a bit old for "top clubs" to be looking at him as a youth player, he's in his final u21s season next season, and he'll be among the oldest in the pack (September birthday). Needs a loan but I suspect offers haven't been there. Looks good with the ball at his feet, good defender (was a CB in Scotland before we picked him up iirc) and physically a match for anyone in u21s football. May get a chance here if Grimes is sold, Allen gets injured, and the next manager decides Fulton is not his cup of tea.
