• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

So, so sad. I can’t imagine losing two children in a car crash. So young too. RIP

Heartbreaking.
RIP.

Just read this as don't watch or listen to the news as often as I should.
Just so unbelievably awful.
RIP

The more I read about this the more I cannot comprehend what that family must be going through

So so tragic

I think it's actually 2 distraught families whose lives have changed forever, Phil. I'm pretty sure the 2 kiddies who have died were from different families. Absolutely unimaginable and beyond comprehension for all of them. 😢

It should be life in prison.
If I went to town tomorrow stone cold sober with a machete and hacked a child to death I’d get life.
If I got in a fast car high on drugs and over the drink drive limit and killed a child I wouldn’t get life.
It’s bizarre.

9 years and 4 months, unbelievable.

Whatever the maximum possible sentence for this should have been applied. I wonder what the maximum possible actually is and whether it should be massively increased?

I’m pretty sure the maximum sentence is 14 years, so if he’s pleaded guilty he’ll get a discount which could equate to the 9 years jail.
Horrific incident, heart goes out to the family concerned and to the emergency services who would have had to attend and deal with that call.

Dear me, that's not right at all. I'm assuming he'll only do half that. Can anyone tell me why it's not manslaughter. He was driving what is in effect a lethal weapon, off his face on coke and alcohol, surely it should carry a heavier sentence, or am I missing something here. I know it's not going to bring the kids back, but there must be more of a deterrent than that.
