• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Reading this just makes it worse. How the family of the children are coping I am unable to comprehend.

That pain will never go away - it is impossible to comprehend what they have gone through and the total pain they feel

As for the driver there are no words I can write here that will convey how I feel about him

"Sipping red wine at the wheel" I heard earlier on TV......i could rip that subhuman in half😑

A horrible tragedy and it is going to highlight how lenient some punishments are.

RIP to the 2 angels

I’m pretty sure the maximum sentence is 14 years, so if he’s pleaded guilty he’ll get a discount which could equate to the 9 years jail.
Horrific incident, heart goes out to the family concerned and to the emergency services who would have had to attend and deal with that call.

Yeah, that’s my understanding too. I heard an item on the radio one day and they said that they start off with 14 years and then chip away with various things until what’s left. Also he will still be liable to the full tariff even if they boot him onto the street half way through, he won’t really be a free man. And he’s got to live with it.

I’ve had this discussion with solicitors and a barrister (Swans fans) on twitter several times about this particular crime.
There’s apparently nothing anyone can do about it until the sentencing laws are changed and all the judges are limited to what they can do.
Let’s be honest here though in the real world if you get into a high powered vehicle after 10 pints of Bow,some spirits and a bit of sniff you should be charged with murder.
If I was to take a knife into town stone cold sober and stab someone to death I’d be charged with murder.
In the real world there can’t surely be one person with a brain cell that agrees with this sentence and there’s been a lot of these cases over the last few years.

Horrible piece of shit.

Sadly, the family pulled over on to the hard shoulder because one of them wanted a wee.
What were they thinking ?
