£40k per week?!

1xIdah

Or...

5x Galbraith's (likely more!)

I know which player I've been noticing a lot more since joining! Was SnoopDog involved with the negotiations?

I don't believe for one minute we are paying him £40k per week. I just don't see it - forget the affordability for one minute but it would completely throw our total wage structure out of the window

Remember this started life with a Nixon story which tend to be as accurate as Aiden Newhouse's chances of playing for England

Indeed.
This sort of bullshit story does damage to the club and the player because some people believe it and the next time that Idah misses a decent chance he’ll get abuse because of his “wages”.

Spot on.

Tony Bird, crikey that's a blast from the past.

Didn't sign him from Cardiff?

Remember Dai Thomas?
Signed Tony Bird and Dave O’Gorman from Barry.
Think we tried to get Gary Lloyd too but he was earning far more money working and playing Welsh League.
It still irritates me to this day that we never signed Mark Delaney ffs.

Wasn’t Andre Ayew on circa £80,000 pw when he nearly carried us to the Premier League?

I don’t really see how, at even half of that, this could be true for someone who hasn’t truly established himself as the real deal yet.

However, if he does establish himself as anywhere near to the quality that Ayew was for us in the Championship, then the outlay whatever amount that is, would have been well worth it.
