• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I think it's clear.
The forum can be an obsession. I think Phil will be aware.

I will praise if it works and give my views if things are not going great as they are. It's strange the defence of things given our position at present. I hope it changes and we are all happy 🤞
There isn't anything strange in people looking for a bit of optimism in what's been a dire season so far.

I had one similar. 5th from bottom remember, just hope theres a result tonight.
Fifth from bottom has a lot to do with the previous manager and his approach. We're agreed on the hope part for tonight.

Fully understand but it's a fine line with blind optimism 🤣🫣

There are certainly positives of late but that's not a given that it will get better. We need to be turning these loses with decent performances into points.

When I started watching us I didn't give a toss about league position or points. I just wanted us to win the game, right here, right now, and had no idea where the opposition or we were in the table. I was always blindly optimistic that we would win too, and if we lost, well, we'll win next time. Great days for me, if not the club in terms of money, glory, or 'player trading'.

Where is the blind optimism?

It's more a case of some people being dismissive of others who look for the positives in situations.

It’s not blind optimism, it’s the opposite. Anyone with eyes can see we are heading in the right direction with this squad under Matos. Are you honestly not seeing it? Be truthful.

I said there were positives.
I will be more in agreement if we start moving up the table and extending our points difference from the last relegation spot.

Daps has this need to be proven right, often looking for things that don't exist.

Hopefully one day for everyone's sake that day will come when he actually gets something right.

We are no better in league position and points from the relegation zone from the day Sheehan left to the present day.

People have the right to raise their concerns as much as people have the right to highlight the positives. Each will and have been dismissive of the other.

That's you being dismissive, something you were just complaining about Smurph.

You can't have things both ways 🙈

The team is heading in the right direction. Try getting behind the lads rather than playing Columbo on the internet.

Not at all, just stating a fact. You're full of shit.
Ah, there we are then.
I am just trying to put my opinion across, apologies if you don't like it and wish to be dismissive of fellow posters.

Not trying to act Columbo, we are no better off in league position or points from the drop zone.
I am just stating a fact.
