My reason for being so negative

Excluding Plymouth and Blackburn we've lucked results, nothing is gonna change unless we get relegated or go in really bad form as we did under Luke Williams, sacked him, Andy Coleman resigned, fans forum set up etc. (along with a terrible winter transfer window) now the owners will feel vindicated or like they've improved, just for it to the same next season lower table or relegation battle. Not only that the Plymouth and Derby results have helped Cardiff massively (especially since Cardiff jammed a last minute equaliser on Tuesday)
Fair play it takes some doing being that negative after one of our most comprehensive performances in years.

What's happened in the past is the past, time to move on and let the new people in place earn the trust of the supporters.

As for Cardiff they'll either stay up or go down on their own steam.

Getting as many points between now and the end of the season playing like we did against Plymouth has to be our aim.

Why? Nothing will change. Our owners simply do not care and have no ambition to take us up unless there is a change

Quietly optimistic that something is brewing in the background regarding a more long term manager. Cannot take anything away from Sheehan though, has been fantastic when called upon twice and deserves a shot as manager somewhere. Would be the Swansea way though if he were to tear up League 1 and we pay 6 figures to bring him back 12 months later!

What I would say, if we do for Sheehan, is just to give him a rolling 12 month contract.

Clubs just seem to give out these 3-4 years deals for new managers, regardless, as a statement of intent but then are left in positions like Leicester with Ruud where they're holding out to sack him because they don't want to pay out yet.

The majority of Championship managers weren't at their current club at the first gameweek of this season, we don't need to kid on that just because we're appointing him that he's going to be here for 3-4+ seasons. Giving Brendan a rolling 12 month contract was never an issue.

There has been a change.

We have a new CEO and Director of football.

Are you expecting us to go out and appoint Klopp and sign Messi?
Director of football from Notts County under Luke Williams who were have since sacked, and new CEO? What's his experience?

"Are you expecting us to go out and appoint Klopp and sign Messi?"
No why on earth do you think that? Our ownership when it was Huw Jenkins, Leigh Denee, Morgan's, Huw Cooze,Brian Katzen and Swansea Supporters Trust worked great for us I wish that didn't change. I want us to be like Brighton, Bournemouth and Brentford

It was their greed that sold us out in the first place, not to mention Jenkins' absurd financial mismanagement which left us having to slash costs on relegation despite having parachute payments.

The result against Leeds wasn’t lucky. He got the tactics, substitutions and line ups bang on. In fact Leeds got lucky holding us to a draw.

This post is not me endorsing Sheezy as a full time appointment.

Although I do think he is favourite to get it.

Definitely not, Leeds battered us we were very fortunate with the draw (not that I mind)

True it is a shame they did however it is clear our current owners are worse. To his credit from what I read, Jenkins did not want to sack Laudrup

Also that was American owners fault for the financial mismanagement and not Jenkins

Those fuckers caused all this by selling us up the river.

Give your head a wobble.

Do you think that if we appoint someone other than Sheehan then we'll be in a position to challenge for promotion?
We've ben such a shambles off the pitch for so long, we're a million miles away from being able to seriously consider going up.
