Not to be negative (because we are definitely better this season) or contrarian for the sake of it but we did revert to the bad habit of sitting back and defending for the last 20 minutes before conceding a 97th minute equaliser just a few days ago.

We've seen signs of potential and the squad is probably as strong and exciting as it's been since Cooper's last season but they still need to shake that habit of trying to defend a lead, instead of carrying on doing what works and killing games off
I think Sheehan mentioned this in his Sky interview last night. They had a team meeting to talk about the last 15 minutes of that game and the equaliser and hopefully this issue has been addressed.

That's encouraging because at least it suggests it wasn't a conscious tactical decision

You are right, Forest showed a bit of complacency and should have easily buried us with some big sitters missed for 3-1. You could see the huge gulf in class between premier league and championship, but credit for the comeback and not giving in.

I was critical of Franco's role in midfield yesterday, 0-2 when he was on pitch, 3-2 off the pitch, just give me a ring Alan if you want me to fix the midfield(joke). The centre midfield jigsaw still needs sorting, we are hardly creating anything down the middle, Forest cut through us with ease at times, just wish we had more of that for the championship instead of relying on wingers.
Agreed re aching chasm in our mid pivot.

Anathema to proper Swans play where we usually dominate, with fast clever triangles up n down the pitch - through the middle. WE need far more control and orchestrating.

Hope Stam the man shows up more in that space....

Judging by Sheehan's demeanour on the side of the pitch against Hull, it definitely wasn't a tactical decision. He was clearly not happy as that game wore on (although his substitutions played a part in that).

Sheehan, unlike some others, earned his opportunity and has earned my support.
There will be cock-ups along the way. FACT.

In terms of being the public face of the club he the most likeable we’ve had since Guidolin I’d say.

I don’t agree that we are boring per se, but there are times when we look flat footed and ponderous. We need to be up on our toes and more aggressive and whilst I don’t think our midfield lacks creativity it does lack muscle and awareness at times. Forest made our midfield look non-existent at times so that needs tightening up, there is enough quality there so Sheehan needs to solve that one.
