Football fans are worse than Coronation Street fans when it comes to gossip.

Everyone running about trying to get the latest scoop, to make them look ITK.

Fans playing f*ck with each other trying to sound intelligent and informed on what is going on.

It's both horrific and hilarious at the same time.

As for the poster that said they would consider finishing 12th and scoring goals, over a shot at the play offs

I can see both sides of the argument though most people that refuse to admit that Cooper has been relatively successful can’t.

Of and I’ll say it again, people like Perch posting about his facial features are the scum of the earth.

I cant deny he's done well. But I don't believe there's any longevity in him being with us.

He may surprise me and we could go up next season but I'm looking forward to next season as much as a dose of piles

A shot at the play offs, every single day of the week. Couldn't give a toss which manager gets us there.

I like my team to win, and be successful, not all fur coat and no knickers.

Potter the great redeemer eh

Ideally we'd have both. But getting in the play offs has got us to the square root of f**k all. Did you have more pleasure in the last two seasons than we did under Martinez in 07/08, Potter in 18/19?

Then again you probably enjoyed Monk's full season far more than Laudrup's league finish.

Of course in an ideal world we'd have both, no brainer. What pleasure did you get out of Potter? Are we still hanging on the words of the great Pep, that he's the best English manager? Potter doesn't get a look in as to our best managers, I'll probably have forgoten about him in another couple of years.

As for the play offs, you've got to be in it to win it surely? At least you've got a chane of promotion by getting into them, you've got zero chance of it finishing twelfth  I'm an extremely bad loser, f*ck twelfth position and all who sail in her. You can keep your fur coat and no knickers, it's not for me.

No i didn't enjoy Monks full season, we lost too many games.

My argument is that we could have been more successful with the players that he has had at his disposal.

Is there any team in the whole football league except us that still needs a new manager? He’ll be there.

Finally looks like we’ll have some closure today on Cooper leaving as Crystal Palace are expecting to announce Patrick Vieira today.

I’m not sure anyone doubts he’s been relatively successful in terms of numbers on the board. Bh f*ck it been hard to get enthusiastic about though, and ultimately ended in failure.

You made a good post at the end of last season when you said something along he lines of ‘give him another shot at it and if we don’t go up say thanks and goodbye’. Nothing is quite that straightforward in football but I think that it’s right. If he wants to be here and the club want him here, fair enough, but if the only thing keeping him here is compo in either direction then it’s just a tragic comedy. I’d be quite happy to let him go and give Toshack Jnr a chance tbh.

Well don’t know about you but I had the pleasure of watching us play every week and being proud of it, not this shit over last two years

Yes, I'm a super fan like you and saw us every week under the great Potter, nothing to be proud of mind. We played well sometimes, we played rubbish sometimes. No great shakes. We lost more under Potter than we did this chap, and as previously mentioned, I'm not good at losing.

Signed sealed delivered, Cooper will be with us next season then, be interesting to see now if he’s given a new contract.
