My cousin and family live in Malaga which itself is a great city these days often go down to Cadiz as they really like it down there. His wife (from the Basque area) loves the old townJust heading back on the train to Valencia via Madrid after spending five wonderful days' holiday in my favourite Spanish city, Cádiz to celebrate my **th birthday.
We booked an apartment right in the historic centre next to the fabulous central market so I could go and buy fresh fish every day and cook it back at the apartment. We had red tuna and scorpion fish a couple of days ago. Lush.
Highlights included a flamenco show in the backstreets of Jerez, tapas lunch at Bar Casa Manteca as featured on the Rick Stein programme (see below) and the match yesterday between Cadiz and Huesca (4-0). If you've never been, try and get there once in your life.
