• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Maybe, better to stay in Tenby or Saundersfoot then??

Have you been to Tenby lately.
I was told earlier the actor Charles Dale has a music memorabilia store there.

Yes, I told you about it, we got there around 12ish and had to come back first thing in Morning if you remember

Being a bit thick doesn't help either and I don't believe he's 60, that milestone past him about 3/4 yrs ago guaranteed, I'm 61,1/2 and look yrs younger than Prosser.

Ilfracombe is the latest idea

Lovely views of Oxwich from there🤣😂

All booked up at Ilfracombe now, hotel is exceptional by all accounts and a bit cheaper than the Aberaeron option, so more money for the important stuff like Ale

Oi Max, for 50 quid a night you can come and doss in my spare room, you can then walk to Barry Island, enjoy a ride or two and a few beers, I can also point you in the direction of some "interesting" pubs

FFS  knob head

Please yourself you'll regret it, was even gonna throw in a free ride to the island in my works van save you walking

All heart you fair play, only good thing about Barry is the road out of the place and you living there certainly doesn't improve the place

Not criticising, just amused that you start a thread titled "West Wales Holidays" and 3 pages later you're booked to go to N Devon 😁 Probably says more about the holiday situation in West Wales than anything else. 👍👍Ilfracombe is not a bad place though but still trying to drag itself away from its Victorian heyday. Shame the ferries don't go across from Swansea any more. My great uncle & aunt lived in Sketty and used to holiday in Ilfracombe every year for decades going across on the boats. Less than 30 miles from Swansea atcf but nearly 180 miles by road    .

You made the right decision. Went to Tenby for lunch and regretted it almost immediately. At least the food was good.

Was in Tenby last week and witnessed a family of four eating food outside a pub get absolutely mullerd by a group of seagulls, glasses, chips and lasagne flying through the air 😀

 rookie error that.

If anyone makes their way down there, I recommend the tap room of Harbwr brewery bar. Rest of the pub was rammed but an extra 50 yards was probably too much for the Kiln Park lot.

That's where we went for lunch, we sat out the back, lovely food and the service was fantastic fair play.

Is that down a lane, on the left when walking down towards Harbour on the main drag through Town, if yes we went there a couple of months back.
