Let’s see them in a back four and under Duff management, then judge the combo of player + coach.

As for Naughton, he was signed as much for his ability to mould the dressing room as he was to play. His wages won’t be high.
 
3 at the back is a good system but we don't have 3 collectively good enough to run with this. RM kept harping on about young and brave but it clearly obvious all 3 of our CB's are playing to their ceiling of ability which is sadly lacking. Maybe a 4 at the back will cover the cracks a bit but isn't a solution.

3 at the back may be a good system but if you haven't got players suited to it or capable of playing it, the sensible thing to do is to not use it. The stupid thing to do is to persist with it. The managers' job is to make the best team out of the players he's got and trying to shoehorn them into a system that has a 2+ season track record of failure is a recipe for failure.
