• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Amazing stuff.
I wear 2 hearing aids these days so I'll never upgrade from my Maudant Shorts upstairs and my Missions downstairs. There's no point anymore. I've had both sets since the 80s/90s and they'll see me off.
That was part of my thinking if I'm honest. I'm 66 tomorrow (😱) and I really don't know how much longer I'll be able to appreciate it.

It really has reinvigorated all my CDs. Just listening to Nanci Griffith who is standing in my living room with her guitar...even though she sadly died at 68. She's living on here.

Happy birthday and New year tomorrow Mon. 🍾

Happy Birthday for tomorrow Mon. Nothing better than live music but listening on a good sound system is a great substitute. 👍

I wear them as well, they irritate my ears somin terrible, I only wear them when Mrs kicks off, my eldest had his since he was really young, he bought expensive ones a few years ago and is happy with them, had to go over to Audiology yesterday and kept the hearing aids in for the rest of the day, had them in since around 12 today to go out still got them in, needs must I suppose.

I know what you mean. I've got JBL Monitor 4208s in the lounge which I've had for about 25 years and will never need upgrading. I've got a pair of JPW Sonatas in the bedroom that I bought from Richer Sounds in the 90s and are superb for their relatively small size so after my wife died and I was spending more time in the kitchen than I used to, I decided it needed a decent quality compact system and managed to find another pair of JPW Sonatas in near perfect condition on Ebay for only £45 to go with a new Marantz all in one unit. 🤘🤘🤘
