• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

The one where he has come in from the left, where the right back has followed him?

At what point in that third goal does he go anywhere near the left, never mind come in from it?

He started his run from the edge of the centre circle, almost directly in the middle of the pitch.

Interestingly Richie Wellens (who i still detest for spitting at Bodde when we played Doncaster in 2008) says he will be a central midfielder but is covering for injuries

He is moving towards the centre circle with his back to goal with the opposition right back following him! The clip doesn't show where he started his run from just him infield/slightly left(with right back behind him) requesting to receive the ball.

Why do you think there is a massive gap for the Orient left back to hit? Because the friggin left back tracked Abdullai's movement 🙈

Ah right, so his boss has said he will play central but is covering other positions in his last 2 games?

Might keep in that position he played on the weekend and lady night if he keeps performing like he did.

The clip shows he started his run from near the centre circle. You're assuming that it was from somewhere else.
You are talking about his run after the ball goes from him to the Orient left back.

My mindset is is further back than what the eyes see, it's just how I am programmed with football.
When Abdullai comes into play, it's clear he has dragged the right back out with his initial run thus leaving the space for his left back to hit. This highlights where Abdullai would have been before the attack starts.

Abdullai has 2 options, he can either follow his full backs run or get in the box and on the end of something.....it's a no brainer that he gets in the box because the full back has the space and right back who was marking Abdullai is now busting his gut to get to the full back, this leaves Abdullai unmarked to get into the box.

I knew you would get your knickers in a twist with that.

It's the reaction I expected.

It's perhaps the maddest thing you've ever said, and there's some stiff competition.

We all know what's more likely anyway. People have been slagging Abdulai through no fault of his own all season. Now he's gone to another club who are using him more to his strengths and started very well those who have been laying into him are starting to realise that there's a very real chance of some serious egg/face interaction.

So we get this nonsense. Attempts to claim that he's still playing as a left winger using all sorts of methods, up to and including the claim that it can be proven using special psychic football powers.

I quite like Abdullai when he was with us.

You are right, people will start realising they have egg on their face when they are wrong and it is nonsense.
The fact that the Orient manager has stated he is being played out of position currently and will in time play him centrally is a dead give away he isn't playing him to his strengths.

But Abdullai seems to be doing a decent job for them out of his preferred position of central midfield.
