• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I read a while back about a bar in Bilbao named after our City but nobody knew how it came about.

I was in there last night and the now owner explained. A chap moved to Bilbao from Swansea in the late 70"s ST holder at the Vetch. He opened the bar and actually had a visit from John Toshack.

The now owner is a Athletic Club ST especially as the stadium is next door although she follows the Swans from afar.

Lots of people from Wales have visited the bar along with other parts of the UK. She said it was used for Spurs fans mainly for the Europa final.

In case anybody was interested 😉

I was in Bilbao years ago and the taxi went past that bar. Never had the chance to go back and check it was real! Thanks for this.

Slightly off topic but it's just reminded me of this Swans item that I saw in a pizza restaurant in Funchal, Madeira, in April. The place had loads of football scarves all over the walls and ceilings so my bro & I had a look around while we were waiting for the food to come. I have no recollection of a red and black Swans scarf. Anyone know what era this is from?

Judging by the scarf. There is a kit design with matches our half vertical black and red kit from the prem days.
