That's a bit scaremongery.

It's long since been proven that televised football scarcely has any effect on attendances. There's like 70-years' worth of evidence by now. It's a straw man argument with not much solid evidence behind it. Whether you're a Dulwich Hamlet, Carshalton or Kettering fan, you'll still go and watch Dulwich Hamlet, Carshalton or Kettering, you won't sack your club off to stay in to watch a Premier League game on TV, because you'd be doing that already. Most top flight games don't even kick off at 3pm these days anyway, that's not going to change.

It's time for English football to come into the 21st century.

I’ve sacked off a few home games, especially night games because it’s more convenient to watch it on the stick. There’s plenty more like me who rarely go to watch us in the stadium since the advent of good quality streams.

Brilliant to hear and great to see they will be using it for club events etc. Let's hope it doesn't have sticky floors for those visiting after the night before. I miss the walkabout days, etc. Drink at night, eat same place next day, sticky floor

Let's not start that conversation. Swans TV are shocking. They just robbed me of £25 for the month but no games on. There response we don't give refunds and it's up to the customer to cancel

Isn’t that what you get for a subscription to Swans tv ?

Far from it. Just live match and that's it. And if it works. Terrible service. To encourage people to watch they could upload the full matches on the site exclusive to Swans TV people and no results spoilt. Yes that takes away people seeing it free on YouTube but it would encourage those to subscribe. And maybe have exclusive pre and post match interviews. It won't happen though, they have cut the budget of Swans TV every year since we was came down.

This is my worry. I'm chuffed there's a swans bar opening but the hospitality industry is on its arse.

I'm not sure this is the right time for this venture commercially. Especially, as has been pointed out, that they won't be able to show anymore swans games than other bars (some of which like the Griffin are likely to be far cheaper for a pint).

I hope it doesn't nosedive like the Pearlman Inspired city centre shop once the novelty has worn off.

There's a lot of scope to think outside of the box here though. They could have some great memorabilia there, show classic swans games, have regular guests, (Trunds / Robbo etc), maybe even have live commentary from there of big away games?, opportunities to sell merchandise there (swans pint glasses etc), show youth games live? Then there's obviously the opportunities with AU vodka etc.

Excited to see how it goes.
