• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I love a drop of Penderyn.
I've got one of these in the cupboard.

Don't do whiskey or any spirit's for that matter, couple of beers and a glass or three 0f red wine does me and the occasional glass of a nice white wine, the local Tescos has got their Tesco's Finest range back in stock now, well some of them anyway.

Less alcohol means more spare cash to spend on improving the quality of my Koi stock, winner winner 😂

There's something very fishy about you.
Never been any different JB I've always had a love of fish and fishing which leads me to the arrival of Autumn and hopefully more great days/weekends in Hereford and fishing on the wonderful River Wye :) (y)

Saw that the Swansea Jack pub (if that's what it's called) - the one on Wind St is recruiting for staff, so can't be too far away from opening either.

I wonder all the staff will be from Cardiff like the security/stewards at the stadium

I called in Saturday with my mate, bottles of beer available £5 for a 500ml Gower gold. £4 for a 330ml Ashai lager and £2 for a soft drink, it was pretty sparsely attended but it was OK if you fancied a beer before the game, you can leave your car there until after the game but can only use the Penderyn spaces. It is a big old industrial type space but it felt like you could build up an atmosphere in there with enough punters.1 or 2 Leicester fans in there as well, certainly better than queuing at the Harvester for a pint.
A bit of music played out of a Wi FI speaker but no food available other that crisps and nuts, staff were friendly and obviously keen to encourage fans on game day/nights.

The problem with parking is the exit is also used by park and ride traffic and be prepared to be sitting in your car for 45 minutes waiting to exit the car park. It’s a nightmare after matches.

It is difficult after games though nowhere near as bad for night games. Our routine on a match day includes having a coffee after the game by which time it’s easy.

That’s reasonably priced.

I hope it takes off for them it seems a reasonable location, close to the ground and other facilities in the area, staff were friendly and keen to attract fans.

Shame no draught but bottled Gower Gold better than other options nearby. Very friendly staff
