Were on here a few years ago but the design is different, guess you've got a new site and all, was unable to log-in. Had to re-register.
Anyway,
As you may be aware there's a competition of sorts underway in Europe. These things are OK up until a point when the nation you're in starts to progress further and further and it's awkward for non-English to be around. I try to get away from it to a certain extent but it's always there or thereabouts, becoming a nuisance now. If they win the damn thing I don't want to be here to see it.
Now, 3 years ago a similar thing happened. English did well, played poorly - as of now - but still somehow progressed to a semi-final so thought to hell with that and made a journey to Wales and spent a few days in Swansea, it were a good trip seriously, lots to see and do over there and told myself one day will have to get back. This is going to go and on so will have to keep it short here, OK here goes : just a few questions.
#1 Will the Welsh be rooting for England and hoping to win it
#2 Suggest a good place to stay in the City. Not too expensive but clean and hospitable is all you ask for. 3 years ago we stayed at a place on the Oystermouth Road sea front, just say it weren't the best choice, living out of a backpack and not even that. Had a sports team arrive in at 2am in the morning on the first night, loud noises and all but that was just a one off. No hot food or meals served either.
Looked on Trip Advisor for something else and there's a Holiday Inn or Travelodge in the City Center that is affordable and comes highly recommended but can't recall the exact name, will have to look again.
#3 If England win will it be quiet over there. Just want somewhere familiar where can enjoy a quiet stay "football" wise, it'll be unbearable here for the non-English if they can do it, I hope they don't.
#4 What's the Covid situation over there. Safe to travel ? I'd like to go back again as things are getting uncomfortable around here. Thought about Europe but that's just too extreme, change of money and everything, Covid regulations etc. Wales is good enough, no passport required, use the same currency, I enjoyed my time there 3 years back and if there's no England celebrations and all, then would hope to return.
Sorry if went on a bit too far but if it works out for the best, then it would have been worth it.
