Apparently VT had a good offer for the club and turned it down.....things can’t be that bad can they else he would have taken it?! Think quite a few clubs have taken out loans this season, haven’t you lot? Still, a para payment of £35 million a few months ago and still allegedly losing three million a month? Doing a fine job of running the club aren’t they. Useless or lying?

Can’t possibly be mis-management Benny. Your equals Barcelona also had to bow to commercial pressure and get a shirt sponsor in the end. Money’s tight even amongst the elite clubs in European football. PS. I think Tuchel’s made a massive mistake by turning you down.

Few things in retaliation to that Benny

1. Do you know what the offer was? Turning down the offer is simple if it doesnt meet the valuation you require. And, of course, this offer for the club has not been publicised just thrown in at a meeting and seemingly managing to brush over the potential £50m hole that is coming from not one but THREE court cases
2. Agree and it is a necessary evil this season but to do that on the back of a transfer spending spree and a compensation payment to your old manager (let alone anything Old Man Mick would have wanted as a signing on fee) smacks in the face of the purpose of these loans don't you think?
3. Read your insider views on that - the £3m a month is not a loss - Dalman even admitted that in the meeting by saying it doesn't include the income you will still have

I think to your last question it's a large chunk of both

I liked the bit where Dalman said he'd approach a younger manager but had been turned down cos he ( the manager ) said he was looking for a bigger club with more ambition, surely not...

Well all Tan and Dalman said was that it was a good offer, surely that means almost acceptable? Also Mike Issacs saying his shares were worth 10 million is a joke, they would be worth zero now if Tan hadn’t come along and saved us....they were only worth 2 anyway! As for hammam and his place on the board, yeah rightio that’s worth £15 million is it? Missing his freebie days out no doubt. I expect us to have to pay for Sala, where hope the fee will go to his family.
I wonder what the EFL will say about applying for a loan a week after paying a million for a player? If I was skint I would go and buy nice car first.....then Go begging?

There’s no way Eddie Howe was coming to us, he will go to palace probably at the end of the season and he spent a fortune at Bournemouth

Surely they can't sign Crawley's best player for a high six-figure fee one week and apply for an emergency covid loan the next? The point of these loans is not to allow the recklessly irresponsible to strengthen their squads.

Should be told to take a hike.
The transfer window is open so they can sell players to meet their need.
If the EFL agree to a loan the other clubs in the division should sue.

It just says they applied right? It can be denied.

They are still getting parachute money which is a safeguard for those dropping down so they should already be protected.

A damning statement of what we've become.”

What they’ve become?! Erm, I’m 45 years old and can assure any Crudiff fans reading this that unless you’re at least *100 yrs old these are truly the best days of your lives.

The EFL will give you the loan as its available to all Championship clubs - we will take our own but I fear you have missed some points largely as you seem to be falling into the usual trap of just believing what you are told

"Tan and Dalman said it was a good offer" - oh it must have been then? Did they give details of the offer? Did they tell you all what made it good or did they just say "good offer"?

The point with the loan is it is more like one of these grants designed to help businesses but it does fly in the face of it that you can make all your expenditure and then claim the loan. Of course you are entitled to it but morals and football disappeared a long time ago.

And it was interesting to see your journalist pals quoting the £3m monthly loss - they are so far up the backside of your club that they even missed the fact that your own fans pointed out its not really a £3m loss but it suits the narrative.

And for Sala I hope you are right in that you have to pay it and it would be fantastic if it went to the families. However, it's a sad indictment that it is still going on two years later :(

Why does it suit Tans narrative to have the supporters and the public believe the club are making a 3 mill a month loss when that isn't the case?

I meant more it suits the narrative of the media to have people believe that

And if Tan gets them believing it then expectations are set about future spending?
