Cardiff City relegation party

If they do not bounce back at the 1st attempt it could be curtains for them with 110m debt owed to owners.

Nobody will buy the club when its in league 1 with that debt, and Tan has to be close to done with this project.

His 1.5b worth has dropped to 750m last year and close to 300m has been pumped into Cardiff and apparently he is forking out 3m/month to keep the lights on.

If your bleeding money over and above your investment at the rate of x millions a month any sane person would dump the investment. That Nantes case in Sept might be the end if it doesnt go their way
This is why I’m glad Luton went down. They are far more likely to take one promotion place.

If Tan dumps them and go bankrupt and lose their league position, would a ghost team be able to be resurrected in the English tier like others have done or would they have to be reborn in the Welsh system?

From one of their lot. Money well spent:

In eleven attempts, Cardiff didn't win a single Championship game this season with Ramsey as a player or a caretaker manager:

0-2 v Sunderland
0-5 v Burnley
1-1 v Swansea
0-2 v Middlesbrough
1-1 v Bristol City
1-1 v Plymouth
1-2 v Burnley
1-2 v Luton
1-1 v Oxford
0-0 v West Brom
2-4 v Norwich.

But but he was the saviour? The local boy who loves his club so much?

I don't know if they were actually stupid enough to pay Calum Chambers £45k per week, but I hope they were.

A barely Championship standard player who had any aspirations of operating at the top level ended by a Swans player only fit about 20% of the time. With club management and decision making like that then League One probably won't be the bottom of the barrel for them.

I think the only thing that could possibly save em is the fact that they are the capital and someone who may have a few quid will take it on. But the huge debts hanging over em would scupper that.
Basically they are royally fckd, and the fact that one of their own who detests us has taken em down is poetic beyond.

Nobody considering them as a potential investment will give two shits about that. If being a "Capital City" was a factor investors would be swarming all over the likes of Charlton, Millwall or Leyton Orient.

They'll be looking at a club up to its eyeballs in debt to the owner, with an extremely fickle fanbase and an overpaid and undertalented squad and trying to decide if they're worth the bother. If you had £50m to spend on a football club, there are better options out there.

What makes me laugh is how surprised they are that we are taking the complete piss out of them and milking their relegation, as if they wouldn't do it to us

They think we are obsessed with them, but in actual fact we are obsessed with laughing at the fucking circus that they are

Agreed, but was alluding to the fact that as a capital city, thers just 1 club in it.

Chambers still has two years left on his deal too. Anyone want to guess some odds on whether there's a relegation clause?

Looking at their potential fixtures next season it’s an absolute nightmare, about as attractive as a sh.t sandwich.
