• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Went years ago for one of our anniversaries which is in November we flew over in a package type deal which included a hire car which we picked up at the airport after our flight from Bristol stayed in St Helier, one of the highlights was a visit to St Brelades Bay, we always said we'd go back, but we still haven't been.
Think the Penlan club were running a trip to Jersey in the late 70s. Thought it was amazing at the time. Crikey , we lived sheltered lives back in them days.

Penlan club trip to Jersey in the 70's...

Sounds like a job for Jim Bergerac and his trusty sidekick ECB 🤔

I was up Penlan today, first time I’ve been up there in about 20 years. It looks like they’ve almost reached 1990 up there now 😵‍💫

Tudno is where it's at, although Jeffery's Court is nice this time of year 😂
Yeah I went to Tudno for a gander for old times sake while I was up there. We used to go to a house party in one of the flats after going to Dirty Dora’s on a Friday. There and Townhill was another after Dora’s location we used to go (the woman who’s house it was in Townhill, I actually saw her waiting in a bus stop in the Melyn on Saturday morning).

My mrs lived in Tudno for a while as a kid. And one of the boys we used to go to the Vetch and initially the Liberty with was from there. Haven’t seen him for a while now. Top fella.
