• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I would pick Oli instead of Paterson and Patino instead of Fulton.

I considered that too, but he might want to ease Patino in though I do think Patino would be an upgrade on Fulton in that position.

We didn’t want Rushworth to be a loan signing, I’m certain we wanted to buy him outright but Brighton refused.

My heads spinning with all these new players. We have to sell someone else bar Ntcham now, don’t we? (Not trying to reopen the financing arguments, just saying it can’t all be one way, Shirley?)

If we can get a stupid amount of money out of Southampton for Matt Grimes, that'd do me (and I do appreciate Grimes as a player).

In terms if numbers, 9 players have left since January with 7 (so far) coming in. So it’s really been a case of replenishing the squad with, hopefully, better players. I get the point though that those coming in are probably more expensive than those going out.

For the record my 9 leavers are Obafemi, Lati, Manning, Cundle, Sorinola, Sondegaard, Whittaker, Joseph and Ntcham (unofficially !)

Or maybe, just maybe, after the embarrassment of January, the new regime have just decided to take a bit of a hit in this window to get the squad back up to the level it needs to be (and which should never have been allowed to become so threadbare to begin with).

I'd like to think this is the case, and it is a sign that they're finally taking things seriously and not just treating us as a pesky figure on a Delaware balance sheet.
