Are we about to see the real motives of the owners in the next 23 matches? Will they back the team management and strengthen the squad in this window to get a top 2 spot?

Yes, will be interesting, especially after today's great result.

Here we go...

So suppose they went out and spent £5m and we didn't get promoted, which is entirely possible. What then? How much would guarantee promotion? £10m? £15m?

If there's money available then spend it. If there isn't, then don't. This "Show ambition" nonsense grips my shit.

Who is suggesting spending £5M on a striker? We could return two pointless loan players for a start and get in what we really need even on loan. My point is we are in a good position as it stands so you happy with the squad we have ?

Despite having a forward line that has scored 16 between them we do need an addition up front but given the very nature of our finances not sure we have much money to spend on that new addition so the funding would be a loan player (or Watters it seems?)

Don't think I mentioned strikers at all.

If we returned two loan players and brought in two others that we could afford would you be happy with that or would you complain because we hadn't spent anything to show how ambitious we are? And let's not pretend that spending isn't what you're after.

He's right about binning off bit part loan players unless we think they are better than we've seen so far though.

I'd send Gyokeres back and bring in someone who can add something to that area of the park

Depending on the injuries at the back then one more player there may be needed

Outside of that I'm not sure we need many other options, what is it about if it's not broke etc...

Do you think that they'd be happy with that? I'd have no objection with replacing Gyokeres, and maybe Palmer. If we sent those two back and merely loaned two replacements instead there would be plenty bitching about how we hadn't gone all in on the market.

Hows about returning the two loans who obviously arent in coopers plans and get one in who cooper will want, the second being the new player we have in mgw who we already know does fit in coopers plans.

Another reason we could do with a couple of player in is to give the squad a boost.

Not from me Doc, not all of us think the yanks have plenty to splash and if they did I know they wont but I'm sure they do a have a bit to spare and after today's result surely they can see the potential that should be built on.

Who is complaining !?! I was asking the question !

So we are pretending that spending isn't what you're after. OK.
