Also not sure what official coach travel has to do with the Supporters Trust mind

It was totally self policing when Ugo was running it, if you were a regular and wanted a bit of peace and quiet it was bus 1.

Sad indictment of the direction of our club really, but I hope the man (and others who helped of course) can relax and enjoy the games hassle free.

A general reflection on the state of society. I've been saying it for years, society is broken.

This.

When there were a large number of "official" coaches going (foscfa/ pop n crisps), then Ugo would have the stewards for them predominantly off bus 1/2
Dickheads would be warned. Moved from bus 1 or 2 when 3 or more were running.
Lobbed off the coaches at a services if they failed to comply or only allowed to travel with a carer in at least 1 case.

Yes, people took the p**s out of the pop n crisps bus.
But there was a really good bunch on bus 1 and mostly 2.
Nearly always made a tidy pub stop somewhere.
Some really cracking places as well.

I first met Ugo by driving bus 1 on D coaches.
Really tidy lad. Heart of gold.
To the point of offering to look after my daughter (13 at the time) to the ground and meet up with me there, as I was working east Midlands area. Same on the return legs.

Not sure why you would take the coach, the train is much more fun.

Loads of beer, loads of Jack's and sing as much as you like.

Can't wait for Saturday, will be in Weatherspoons temple Mead by 8:40am.

Not everyone is a drinker and not everyone can afford to go on the train to away games so the coaches are a decent option for some people, the small amount of kids ruin it for others and now they’ll have to behave and have some respect for others.

Unfortunately a minority spoil the enjoyment of the majority.

I was on the club official coach to Rotherham in July and the forward leg was marred by persistent anti-social behaviour and the return leg was delayed by a fight on the coach involving our own supporters.

I had to step in to break it up. Protagonists were then booted off.

Last time on the coach for me.

Car or train every time now.

First time I’ve used official coaches for a number of years as my 6yo wanted to for a change.

Myself, father and son went and it was appalling the behaviour of around a dozen all seemingly from the same family including 6 children aged 6-13, they’re language and behaviour was abysmal, the parents/grandparents seemed to encourage them.

I’ll go back to driving.

The club steward did nothing.

I heard they are travelling to Preston tomorrow; I wish those on the same bus all the best and advise a good set of ear defenders.

I would definitely drop the club a note of this - are the stewards club employees?

I have sent an email this morning.

According to the email sent out prior to travel.

“ The club is working with Turners – our official coach travel service – to now provide stadium personnel and stewards on our coaches for the next three away games, starting with Saturday’s trip to Bristol City.”

It’s the same scruffy family causing the problems seen it happen a few times on there when I’ve used the coaches for the long midweek games, little kids in stone islands and the few scruffs at the back, we all like a laugh and joke but when they start disrespecting older people and the young kids on the bus they take the piss.

A long midweek game with this family would take some doing! I will await what sort of response I get from the club.

Ah I always assumed they were Turners own stewards - much easier for the club to investigate and await to see what they say

Keep us informed and sad to read you had a poor experience
