Coleman out

Coleman is the typical yank bighead that, because he’s been lucky and made a few bob, thinks he can run anything. I bet the others are similar, as were Cagney and Lacey, sorry, Kaplan and Levien. They also think fans are brain dead muppets that will swallow any bullshit and corporate f***wittery that they spout.

What can you say about a country that votes into supreme power a guy with the intellectual capacity of a tin of sardines?

Levien still had his fingers in the pie during the summer which would no doubt have dictated our spending.

The new owners are basically starting from a position where the club has been neglected for years. Any progress isn't going to happen over night.

I also doubt very much that Williams was Colemans choice for manager.

The results on the pitch firmly sit with the manager.

You’re right of course. The club has been in decline for too long, plus with the wasting of funds we’re bumping up against FFP limits. So this was never going to be a big-spending window for us.

If williams wasn’t Coleman’s choice, he could have done something about it. He had plenty of time to think about future plans, as the takeover took ages.

I simply have no confidence the owners will make the right decisions however long they’re given. Do they have enough money to waste as well? This £20M was announced with a flourish, but is nothing in this league.

The tide has only recently turned against Williams, sacking him prior to the West Brom links and the poor performances since didn't make sense.

Up until this results on the pitch were as expected.

We ended 2024 with decent performances. So far this calendar year we've had three abject capitulations, one unlucky defeat and a draw against a top tier club, during a period when our first choice CBs have been disrupted by injury, suspension, and introducing a new player who barely had time to learn his team-mates' names before kick-off on Saturday, let alone get to know how they play.

None of this excuses Williams' tactical errors, which have been in plain sight for far longer than the last five games. But it may explain why Coleman hasn't panicked and pushed the 'eject' button yet.

He hasn't pressed the eject button simply because he had no clue what he's doing, he can't even find a dof let alone another good manager. Let's no pretend it's something it's not.

There is also the matter of deadline day. If there are deals lined up (not saying there are, but we don't really know) then booting Williams out this week risks torching them.

A thumping by Frank Lampard FC on Saturday could well be the final nail though. And I have a feeling that those who bother to turn up on Saturday aren't really going for the match, they'll only be going to let Coleman know exactly what they think.

The wheels on the bus go round and round?
No.... The wheels on the bus are falling off.
Colemans in charge of a dustbin fire.
May you live interesting times.
