• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Musical Youth 40 years on

A tremendous ceremony to close off the games. The country may be in the gutter but these games provided such a welcome distraction.

Well done to Team Wales, 8th place overall in the medal table and you did the nation proud.

Another ceremony which will be horrifying the gammons.

Great stuff.

Gotta be deliberate. Loving it. Enjoyed the whole Games as it goes.

Certainly enjoyed these games more than I can remember enjoying a Commonwealth Games beforehand

Fair play to the Beeb for their coverage too

Well, I wasn’t expecting this. Will he manage not to swear 😀

He had major surgery in June. It’s a miracle he was able to stand for the few minutes it took. Voice is still there though. Legend.

Entertainment up to the end!
Delighted for the Gold medals in the boxing, Colin Jones is some mentor and inspiration for those youngsters.
Olivia Breen's win and smile will be my highlight.
Plus McColgan and the Pakistani javelin thrower who broke the Games record were examples of athletes leaving no stone unturned.
