• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I'm surprised nobody is interested on here.. Wales win another Gold in the Bowls pairs and the athletics are on tonight if anyone is interested

It's a bit of a non event really, isn't it? Let's have a multi event sporting competition but only for ex colonies of Great Britain, FFS.
The rest of the world doesn't give a shyte.

I know from personal experience that it's not a non event for the Welsh team members who have worked their socks off for 4 years to get into the team.
The only multi sport event in which they can represent Wales. Don't belittle their achievements.

What guts from McColgan there to emulate her mother.
Gold for her in the 10,000m🎊👍

It is indeed great seeing Welsh sportsmen and women competing in the red jerseys.....in that respect the CGs are unique, and a thing to be lauded.....it's just I wish I could give 2 shits about the whole thing...!

It's one massive irrelevant yawnfest, dominating the Beeb schedules, and boring my arse off.

I doubt it will last longer than another 40 years, along with the Commonwealth, shafted by apathy.

Hopefully , by then Wales will have cast off the yoke of Union. England will be enjoying it's 52nd year of Tory bastard government, and Wales can field its athletes within their own gloriously independent status.

Love the Commonwealth Games, Elish McColgan, what an incredible 10,000m, brilliant support by the Brummie crowd

Not really and try telling that to those involved. I’ll give you two ends of the spectrum. First we have Geraint Thomas who has the comfort blanket of a nice seven figure annual contract and who is shot after three weeks in France. He’s well up for it. Then we have an ex pupil of my wife, I can tell you without any shadow of doubt how overjoyed her family are with two medals in these games. The fact that the Americans (insert any non Commonwealth powerhouse) are not involved doesn’t even come into their thought process.
