Cooper Out!

I don't doubt that he has contacts as we have seen. But this season we have only one new loan addition and that was from Wolves. We have taken two of last season's batch back yet doesn't seem any other new additions loan wise on the horizon.

Surely with this God of developing youth players at the helm we should be fighting them off which a shitty stick. Unless Lampard looked at the difference in performance between Gallacher at Charlton and him here

But Lampard has let us have Guehi back

Exactly. Considering it was his first season in League management he did OK. Give him some time. Well connected too.

this video below sums up what i think about the Swans performance against County on the weekend.

Brewster papered over a lot of cracks!

And Gallagher despite lots not rating him somehow. His legs in midfield was a godsend to us.

Not one cup loss. Most of last season we saw the same thing,
Players out of position, no obvious formation, ineffective tactics, poor man management, little threat, dire football and blaming players.
The two good periods we had were at the start of the season when players still had Potter in their legs and after lockdown when players had had time away from the training ground.

Well you're making assumptions there and yes I'm not saying your interpretation of those two successful stints are incorrect, but the fact is Cooper was our manager for the whole season - season in which we reached the play offs. Therefore he certainly deserves to stay despite a terrible performance yesterday.

Not sure if the loan &changes in finances puts a new complexion on things, but he's not going anywhere yet in reality anyway.

Monk got us to 8th in the PL ... but he was an atrocious manager who really destroyed the squad, style and helped turn the club on its head.
Cooper had a good squad to start with and one or maybe two additions worked but we were sussed by the end of August and it was a slog to the lock down.
Make no bones about it, reaching the play-offs was as a result of two freak results - ours and Forest.
He is incapable of changing approach during games and had tactical changes forced on him through injury.
In the 31 games between the end of August and lock down we won just 8 games, our performances we excruciating to watch and Cooper's decisions on subs were unfathomable.
We have changed personal in the squad but have no better players for it. Brewster apart not one player who came in was better then we had and many players seemed to go backwards.
The loss to Newport was, IMO, no surprise.

I tend to find comments like fraud and stealing a living weaken the argument of those making them. You can question his record, you can say he's not up to the job, but to say is a fraud is frankly embarrassing.

Don’t call him a fraud then.

Trust me mate I won't. Because he isn't a fraud, he's just a manager with a number of weaknesses, mainly his preference for quite dour, uncreative football and his reluctance to make game changing substitutions. He is however a successful coach in underage international football and good enough to be a manager in the top half of the championship, particularly when making use of his contacts. You could argue that success at a major football nation at underage football isn't that hard to achieve, but that is also true of the managers of the other major footballing nations who fell short of his England side. You could also argue that we should strive for better than average championship managers, but that doesn't make him a fraud.

The end of the day he took us to the playoffs therefore deserves more than a Carabao Cup tie to prove himself after what has been a summer of change, and a summer where we haven't yet brough in the replacements we require. The ending of so many contracts and the global pandemic that have put us in this situation is beyond his control and he deserves to be cut some slack.

Ok, powertpoint pushing, talentless coaching, shape munching, boring kick and clap, blame everyone but himself, 24 carat fraud.

Better?

This season will prove if he can use the position he obtained by PowerPoint deception to actually become a proper football manager. We should all hope that he can. He’s still a fraud though, whatever he becomes. With our squad and after our start last season we should have been fighting top two not spawning the jammiest ever place in the play offs after his stupid selections, substitutions and zero motivational skills had all but thrown it away. We were sold a pup, lets hope he grows into a proper dog.

If he’s a football manager I’m Burt Reynolds..... oh, hang on a minute......

As we are on a new site could you now stop sitting on the fence and elucidate what you really feel...
