• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I bet you can’t describe what it was she was convicted of…

Some time ago, well before she (or Snoop) was connected with the Swans, I watched the (exceptionally interesting) documentary abou5 her and her conviction. On Netflix I think it was.

Anyway, the ‘fraud’ she committed was all about whether she had deliberately acted on inside information to dump shares prior to adverse knowledge about the company becoming public. She benefited by something in the region of $50k. To put that in context, she was America’s first female self made billionaire (just prior to Oprah).

The whole case was ridiculous. Technically she did wrong (or at least her advisors did). But they went after her because of who she was. Worse is done thousands of times every day and no action is taken. Certainly not a prison sentence.

Anyway, I’d urge those uncomfortable with this to watch the documentary . She comes across as a very impressive woman. These things make little difference to the club, no money comes in (it hasn’t done with any of these investments) - it’s all shares in Swansea Football LLC the US holding company, but it’s a bit of publicity and helps potentially with the commercial side for the future.
How condescending, Merry Christmas.

Ah ok so you've watched a documentary made by her, so she must be innocent then, surprised she didn't Sue for false imprisonment. Personally I couldn't give a shit about them, hardly love the club do they, just another tax dodge.

Say what you like about Martha, at least she's attended more games than you have this season 👍🏼

God knows why these celebs are all jumping on the bandwagon. A tax dodge doesn’t make sense. Wouldn’t they have to incur larger losses than any offset savings they’d make? Maybe it’s just a trend for these sorts of people. I wish they’d fack off; I hate the circus they bring to our great game.

I said technically what she did was wrong. I also pointed out thousands do the same every day.

No one has said she loves the club.

I simply said she’s a very impressive person.
