The longer it’s going on no new contract agreed the more I think they’re holding out for January to see what clubs abroad might offer them.

It's come to the point that it really is in their own best interests to wait and see if there are any takers in January. This lies at the door of Kaplan and Levien and their total lack of interest in the club.

If a bid for one or both comes in, it will be interesting to see if the new owners decide to cash in and get something instead of possibly letting them go for diddly squat in the summer.

I highly doubt anyone outside of Swansea knows who they are.

To be fair I’m surprised McBurnie & McKenna joined Las Palmas, Ben is also with a big agency Wasserman who represent some big players.

Bango & Darling are two of the best CB's in this division. There will be plenty after them.
Question is have they already had their heads turned?

Think we may have a chance with Cabango, can't see Darling staying, think his mind is made up.

Williams sounded optimistic with his comments today, talking generally about recruitment/contract extensions:

"...I'm really happy with what I'm seeing in terms of the effort that's now going into securing Ben Cabango and Harry Darling. I'm happy we've secured Liam Cullen.

"All of these things have happened more recently and there's a different energy and intensity around getting stuff done, and a more in-lined thinking, and I'm more than confident that's going to continue."

The words did sound positive as a general statement as he feels the club is doing things in the right way.

I'm not so sure he feels as optimistic with the outcome of contract talks for these two.

Hopefully a positive outcome for the club but we have all seen scenarios like this before and heard similar positive words only for dissapointmemt.

Let's hope though.

Most who have left for fees or contracrt run down are better off financially. Wood, Dowdes, Piroe, Manning and possibly Pato.

LW makes a good point about whether from a player development whether a move is a better option.

Clear as day dig at the old regime too.
Good to hear things are sounding positive, but it really shouldn't have got to this point.
