• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Saw him play his first ? League game for us Darlington away opening game of 74/75 season when we lost 3-2.
From memory I don't think he played more than about 20 games for us

RIP

Derek madę Dimi look like Gordon Banks, but no one could follow Tony Mill in my eyes until Crudge came along.

RIP DB.

Played left back i think , only made a couple of appearances i think. That was the season we ended up applying for re-election back into the football league 74-75 .

Not even Steve Potter 😀 . Was at the Vetch on 5th April 1975 v Northampton Town and it was also Grand National day. Was on the open bank behind the goals and Potter was in goals for us . We had taken a transistor radio in to listen to the race and other football scores. Every time the ball went over the halfway line Potter would turn around and ask us if there was any news on the Grand National. Think the attendance was very low, something like 1500 or just over.
