It’ll be invested wisely in my local hair emporium tomorrowYou could try exchanging it for goods and/or services. It may catch on.

Won't get much with a tenner these days.In studio 95?
You should always have a choice, if choices are taken away we are on a slippery slope.I don’t no, do you shop online? Got your bank card on your phone? It’s already happening or has happened. I know there are some folk out there that don’t shop online or have their bank details on their phones, but I’d imagine the number is relatively small to those that do.
Nobody likes change, but it mostly happens anyway.
May get the wash bit of the wash and…Won't get much with a tenner these days.
They've gone all self service.May get the wash bit of the wash and…
Enough for a wash and wank maybe. 30 years ago.In studio 95?
Oh you already did that oneEnough for a wash and wank maybe. 30 years ago.
That’s a fallacy. You don’t have a choice if you want to drive, travel, have a bank account etc.You should always have a choice, if choices are taken away we are on a slippery slope.
Oh I dunno mind, all for being tracked me, only the bad people need to worry, if my house gets burgled (I've got doorbell and cctv cameras fitted) or I get mugged minding my own business then the bad people should be caught very soon, and the bad people know this, whats not to likeThis thread just shows how resigned we are to Corporate control.
Im instinctively against this but the World has moved on (sadly) the fusion of State and Corporate control is now pretty much complete.
I’m not a luddite but for me the pace is leading to a loss of control and freedom. I like to help micro businesses with cash if I can. I also think it’s essential for elderly people.
Soon our lives will all be controlled by that little thing in our pockets. I society is poorer for it personally.
I always like to have cash on me, I like to keep 50 to a ton in my wallet, think I got a tenner in it at moment, because we usually have a takeaway delivered on a Saturday and the cash here is in my wallet so money I have dwindles away.I've been cashless since the start of covid, if a shop or pub wants cash (which they are perfectly entitled to) I'll move on.
Its convienent I use paypal a lot of the time online or credit card rather than my bank debit cards.I don’t no, do you shop online? Got your bank card on your phone? It’s already happening or has happened. I know there are some folk out there that don’t shop online or have their bank details on their phones, but I’d imagine the number is relatively small to those that do.

Could you expand on that statement. That’s a fallacy. You don’t have a choice if you want to drive, travel, have a bank account etc.
Goes to check wallet to see if my tenner is still residing in itI found a £10 note on the pavement last Sunday. Is there a digital equivalent?

Well if you want to drive you need a licence. If you want to travel you need a passport. If you want to do either of those things and many others thing, including opening a bank account or getting credit, you need to probe who you are somehow. My point is that it’s the illusion of choice. All this stuff, the databases etc already exist.Could you expand on that statement.
