Dominos Pizza- just shite!

I used to love the pizzas that Mama Mias used to serve on Princess Way. They had a huge wood fired pizza oven and the calzones were delicious.

Vesuvios Landore , never had a bad food there , reading the quote or £ 23 for two pizzas is not good, this is my go to place on special occasions .

Pay about £ 11 for a good pizza there, and an excellent selection of alternative choices .

I've recently got an Ooni. I can confirm, they are far better than any processed pizza nonsense from local takeaways.

Pennard Stores coffee shop does the best pizzas
I would love a pizza oven and almost bought one during first lockdown from Aldi

They are excellent. I've found my go to recipe for the dough and tomato base. Keeping it simple on top is also my preference. Nothing better than sitting on my own, drinking a Duvel, eating fresh delicious pizza whilst looking at the garden on a warm early Summers day.

I'm sure you'd enjoy it more if you invited us lot round to sample it JF

I would kill to be eating a pizza right now but my dysphagia says no.

Ebo, dis you investigate that fortijuice? Your doctor can prescribe it.
Must be very upsetting and frustrating. :(

Interesting thread this regarding these pizza makers, may I ask, once you have it, how much would you say the cost is for ingredients to make the pizza?

A lot cheaper than Dominoes that's for sure. Bag of 00 flour will cost you at least £2, toppings like buffalo mozarella (not the cheap plastic grated stuff) about £1.50 or thereabouts. You could make a few pizzas for well under £5/£6 easily.

Not yet Dicky, let's see what the specialist says first. I have a good stock of complan though.

Thank you, well I will not pretend for one moment, that I have ever heard of buffalo mozzarella. But I want some of that, pictures look really nice food.

Mrs gets the pizza express ready rolled up dough. Always great.

Try this Mutti on the pizza base, not the cheapest but definitely the best. Anything by Mutti is top notch.

The actual Mutti Pizza sauce is even better-use polpa for pasta sauces, chilli etc. It's excellent stuff- all Mutti is -the ready made pasta sauces are excellent (if on offer)

We are lucky in having an excellent Italian-style pizza place in our town-not cheap but excellent.

Even better is the small chain Rudy's Neapolitan Pizza-Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds. Had a pizza there last week-White Pizza with porchetta, smoked mozzarella, caramelised onion and sage roasted potato. Can of San Pelligrino Blood Orange and change from 12 quid.

Chains like Franco Manca and Pizza Union (mainly London) are also decent and better value than Dominos. Would only get a 3.99 little one for lunch.
