To be fair, given the line up yesterday, there wasn't much competition.🤔

Well whether we like them or not, Strictly, Call the midwife et al are all very popular.

Third most watched show of the day behind the king’s Christmas speech and Strictly. So it must be doing something right.

Happy to say that I saw none of either, my life doesn't appear to be any worse because of that either

Watch it but the jury is out for my opinion , cannot get this new Doctor so far .

Comparisons will always be made with previous apperances as the main characters , for me Christopher Ecclestone and David Tennant have been the best in recent years , Matt Smith was ok too .

Just in case my brain was not engaged ptoperly and eyeballs blurred , was that a Transgender singer in the opening scenes .

No issue with that but another tick box exercise completed along with the Doctor appearing to be in a gay bar wearing a skirt .

Thought the Musical and Dancing Stage Show mid point was pointless , a time filler .

Oh yes, IMO Tennant is top drawer, and a very close second Tom Baker, now he was the guvnor.

EDIT: OH , no did I say top drawer.. Yes I did, :D
Edit: hmm I will change that back to drawer, I hope collins dictionary is correct otherwise I will go potty now.

Controversy in the Swanjaxs household tonight.
The wife is very disappointed, new doctor is good but episode has left her disappointed, "too American" whatever that means...😒

Peter Cushing? Bughouse (Welfare), brilliant. I had a toy dalek and spent ages trying to exterminate my sister.

It means shit. You know this.

Just watched it on BBC iPlayer , but it was awful viewing , through the motions and dialouge , not helped by wooden actors , stupid voice overs for obvious dummies on screen .

Dr. Who was lost to the viewers some years ago , Auntie Beeb bombed it , no audience figures .

Russel Davies did give it a reboot and new ideas , however what I just sat through was rubbish .

Looks like The Beatles are a mainstay of the next storyline plot .
Will not be rushing to catch up as an option to watch that said episode .

Christhopher Ecclestone nailed the role of The Doctor , very dark and cynical . my favorite .

It's a crying shame, that Dr Who has gone down this route, it's a tried and tested success story, winner with the fans, but unfortunately they tried to change it, stick with Perttwee and Tennant, and they will not go far wrong, and any specials just the Master, or the Darleks, and at a push the Cyberman.

It’s a series that has no ‘soul’ when compared with the brilliance of Doctor Who of yesteryear like for example the extremely atmospheric, dark and ominous ‘Genesis Of The Daleks’ etc.

But if you want to find out correct pronoun (“them” apparently) usage for its latest gay transvestite character you have come to the right place!!!!

Yep, welcome to the WOKE world of BBC, Disney and Hollywood, that has abandoned gripping storylines and characters, preferring a load of lefty-loonism and crack-pottery instead. A case of “made by activists” and targeted specifically towards an audience that thinks likewise.

And onto the magnificence (hailed as a masterpiece by many) of Japanese production ‘Godzilla Minus One” that has been placed upon the highest of pedestals by a worldwide army of critics and admirers. BECAUSE? Its a million miles away from the modern day cr@p being offered by the mainstream. I guess the last thing in the minds of this particular movies production team was "pronouns" and other bulls**t!..... Back to basics hey????

*update*
The wife has just shouted out "now this is more like fucking Dr Who"!
Seems like she's buying into the new series 🤔

Wise girl she is see. Wise enough to ignore the moans and tantrums from people who don’t even watch it. Tonight’s was brilliant.

Just done Catch Up on tonights episode , Boom , in a must watch this episode state of thought .
Thinking what am not getting here , series has been dire so far , give it another chance again .

It was OK too , total CGI and FX production , green paint bill at B+Q must be steep though .

In a silly way , added to the long heritage of the name Dr Who , I do try to view and keep up to date with the Programme , some great tele , some rubbish along the way too .

Tonight , a watchable bit of nonsense , Saturday Night tele now the Beebs challenge is to take on the hysterics of audience participation and so false members on the Britains got Talent nonsense along side Ant and Dec , Celebrity this and that shows , easy on the eye for the viewers too .

So I will follow Dr Who on this Seasons run , albiet on Catch Up , otherwise curiousity will get the better of me , media is full of reviews of this latest screening , but damn I missed out on that .

Still think Christopher Ecclestone the best in recent years , will give this new one Ncuti Gatrwa a go to entertain me , hope he does .
