Tell em to join the club. It’s not of course (true that is) but that rarely actually matters.

Do you have a full scale girl shortage though?

Predictive text, but, I quite like the idea! I've updated my post to protect the innocent (me)
🙂

Also, ewe’d be amazed how many fall for his stuff. My neighbours are both solicitors in their 50s and they listened to him coming back from Devon. They now believe it’s the DVLA’s fault.

Well 6 or 7 petrol stations temporarily closed is reported as a full scale fuel shortage in the media. I am sure the DVLA will be aware of the sensitivity here.

What’s petrol stations closing got to do with our friends in Clase?

I was reflecting on how things get blown out of all proportion with little information being the basis of a sensation, which reflects previous posts in this thread.

Oh. That wasn’t clear. In which case I agree with you. The government is willing to deflect the attention from where the real blame for our supply chain issues anywhere other than where it actually lies. Even at itself by proxy.

There was a bloke from the trade association on 5 live at lunchtime, when pushed on why there had not been an industry strategic plan for more drivers, he sad they had been recruiting but all the applications were stuck in the system! Journalism does not get to the facts these days. We have presenters rather than journalists. There is a real fuel demand / supply issue across the world that our media don't seem to understand the consequences of. A hard winter and Russia getting stroppy will put the whole of Europe in a very poor position. China is closing down large industrial areas because of fuel outages. 6 or 7 petrol station closures is a grain of sand on a beach compared to the potential worldwide issues here.

I took it to mean that the media reporting that snippet of news was gobbled up by the public, hence causing said crisis. If that same media decides to deflect on to DVLA ….
