Have to see when he plays, that’s the market rate for strikers I suppose, how much did Simms go for? Big, mobile fellas are hard to come by. Age on his side, that’s why we’ve employed the likes of Watson to find these players early.

Him, and Duff will be judged on how it all works out.

Simms scored in 7 and assisted twice in this division last season (8 in 21 at league 1 previous to that) in 17 games and also has experience of Premier league football along with a ridiculous record at youth level.

If we're signing players (who aren't even starters) based on youth and size alone the punt needs to be within the 100ks.

Proof will be in the pudding. We have no idea why he was earmarked. I tend to go on what former clubs are saying about him, hibs fans loved him, he’s young, big lump, mobile, scores all types of goals, this is what we pay Watson for.

That’s why he was twice as much.

Mykola has a very similar profile, you would never get someone as talented as him for the money you are talking.

Not playing doesn’t matter. We didn’t play Gyokeres, not every club needs a player of that ilk.

He was excellent in the Scottish Premier League last year, it’s not as if he’s a youth player been plucked from nowhere.

It’s his ability as well has his physical prowess that makes him desirable, not just his size and age.

Forget the amount for Mick to start with but there’s no way surely we are targeting another striker

As initial payment?

I know for an absolute fact that the full amount if all clauses are completed comes nowhere near that amount you are suggesting.
I can leave that one roll with you.

Was there anything else interesting in the contract when you saw it 😉

Couldn't tell you the finer detail Phil but it's not 2M all in IF all criteria is met..........2M, have a cup of tea and think about that amount being suggested in relation to the player with no influence from others.

Suppose that amount helps towards a figure previously given.

Surely you have pieced together by now that others may well know what’s what?

The fee may well have been amortised if this is what you mean by your “initial payment” get out, however it’s more similar to the fee of Yates, as confirmed by others who also know.

We have now reached roughly £6m spends this window, including the loan fees of Rushworth and Ashby, with more to come.

That's more than a touch patronising as a response but I'll rise above that one...

I'm quote prepared to believe that it may not be £2m (but open minded enough to believe that it isn't) but I will also lay down some decent money that the initial outlay is certainly more than you presented it to be as fact

I have no evidence to back that up mind just several years of experience being closer to some of the finer details of things

:D I think there was a shiny unicorn and a couple of goblins, fantasy land is crazy so I’ve heard.

Sadly, it’s not very accurate there.

Wasn't intended to be patronising, apologies if it was delivered that way Phil.

Was it supposed to be patronising when you said we had no money this window and had to wait for things to hit the account? Despite others telling you investments had already been made and we were waiting for nothing (and never do)?

Or when you said Nigel had invested the most, despite being told otherwise… and now it’s reported he hasn’t even invested more than Coleman?

Or when you said Nigel and Martin Morgan were both watching the game in the same box at the stadium despite instantly being informed they were both in Asia (different countries), and having to admit you made it up?

Wonder how you were corrected so quickly. It’s almost like people know what’s what isn’t it.

Strange…

Your rumour mill is dangerous, insidious and carefully designed to cause unrest or to support a mischievous undertone previously and dishonestly set.

There have been calls for this sort of thing from you to be banned, I’m all for free speech but this constant string of intentional mistruths certainly tests that sentiment.

Well done to the club, the staff and the owners on their superb work this pre-season and delivering us (and continuing to deliver) a really competitive squad.

The post was for Phil and not you so keep your nose out.
As for Morris, the latest share issues proved I was spot on that Morris was stand alone and Cravatt and Coleman were part of the current crop.......i was spot on.

Out of curiosity, what was the amount that Coleman and Cravatt invested individually?
Genuine question that I think many on here are willing to know.

Your lies are about my club, you are making these comments publicly. If you don’t want any input then send Phil a DM, I’m sure he will be thrilled.

I won’t be sharing dollar amounts of non disclosed investments, as always I state that you will see how wrong you are when they are announced - as you were when the club announced Andy’s.

You were not spot on in anything that you said, and never are. You said Coleman and Cravatt invested negligible amounts to stop dilution past a certain point and that Nigel’s investment was the main one.

Not even close to even being in the same realm as accurate. You were told quite clearly (and correctly) that the largest investments is not Nigel’s.

Wonder how you were corrected so easily and quickly.

Now I wonder who is right about our lovely Ukrainian. Hmmm, tough one.

Anyways, just putting this derailment to one side for the moment, Postecoglou was keeping a close eye on Ikoba and looking to bring him in for this coming season at Parkhead until Spurs came calling, seems like a reasonable signing if the price is right...

You have to wonder when you look at his numbers if this is all agent talk though....
