• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Jordan is trying to defend Jim Ratcliffe's comments on imagination and Whitey having non of it. The callers (most) are giving it tight to SJ now an all 👀
Hmm, I’m sure that Ratcliffe now looks back and wonders if he could have used a different choice of words.

Edit: he has apologised. SJ can now back down as well.

Ratcliffe’s “apology” doesn’t sound like an apology to me.
He’s sorry that his “language offended some people”.
Why should he apologise. He has a right to his opinion.

You don't have to agree with him and you don't have the right not to be offended.

Show me where I said I was offended.
I commented on his “apology”. It’s up to him whether he decides to apologise or stick to his guns from his tax haven home in Monaco.

It didn’t need to drag out for 45 mins. They could have ended the misery at the first break.

Yep - she's definitely something that gets the clicks online.

Her interview with Andrew Gold on Heretics is glorious.

Another member of the elite preaching about immigrants when they don’t live in the country they pretend to love. Yaxley, Middleton, Tice, the list goes on and on. They’ve got the thickos eating from the palms of their hands.

I'd have more respect for him if he stuck by his original comments, even though I disagree with them. Offering the classic non-apology of 'sorry if anyone was offended' is a pathetic cop-out.

Ivory tower comments from on high, rightly called out for being a low blow to those who don’t have a platform to argue against said comments.

My biggest fear is that Parliament will soon be colonised by his sort in the form of Nigel Farage and Reform.

My biggest hope is that the Great British electorate will see them for what they are before the next election, but I have my doubts after the success of Trump 2.0 in the US.

This is a tiny glimmer of hope that I hang on to; that there’s sufficient time between now and the next GE, in which we see more clear evidence that Farage and co cannot run a council, let alone a country.
