I don't think VAR was used, was it? Is it used for penalty shouts?
The German caught his back leg first if you watch it in slomo, but they didn't mention that in the studio, it didn't suit their narrative - plucky 32 year old defender, last ditch tackle, studs brushed the ball, etc.

Anyway, it made feck all difference in the end.

VAR is most definitely in use - they're sat in Nyon, Switzerland, which beats Stockley Park by some distance I would imagine. They seem to have got the balance right though i.e. they're making decisions quickly and they're not showing the painstaking drawing of lines from armpits (although they show still shots afterwards). But defo penalty checks are being done.

A win today and we should at least get one of the best four 3rd places ... and a nice trip to Rome on Sunday to take on the Italians ... let's hope we have a more competitive midfield for this game and try and keep ball and create chances from there ... the occasional hoof to Moore isn't an issue either
