Not all of our players made huge money though, division 3 as it was, division 2 etc. I’m sure there was a story about Gueret being in a really bad place few years back.

Goodness.

I don't think many players of the last 20 years will be applying, but if we can help and give something back to the players of the 60's and 70s who didnt make a fortune, then this can only be a worthwhile thing.

My uncle played for the Swans years and years ago but never professionally for the first team as I understand it. Players from like 30-40 years ago would have been earning feck all in terms of wage, in many cases it wasn't enough as a primary source of income at all and people needed a second part time job.

Let's all hope that players who were made multi-millionaires in the last few years dig deep and help them.

Tell you what would be nice for them to announce...

This winter opening the Riverside bar a couple of times a week, to provide cut price meals for those in the local community who will be struggling big time. That would be magnificent.

Get them gambling addiction help whilst we are at it plus financial planning for the future advice.

Owen Money said last weekend Swans tried to sign Dai Webley a prolific scorer for the Martyrs....we couldnt afford to pay his wages!
