Yeh lets sack the manager after just a few games.
Maybe all of your ilk should start supporting a team more suited to yourselves, how about Man City or Chelsea?
Reeled in a tiddler.

No need to be coy, you're just embarrassed that people thought your opinion stank and now trying to say you were fishing for reactions.
Bit sad isnt it?

A good old fashioned poor display from the Swans will always lead to a good old fashioned internet argument

As I said earlier Martin has a big couple of weeks ahead of him. BUt we always knew that, the state of us at the end of last season was not good.

It's the exact reason that Cooper wanted out, he knew what state he had left us in

Fùck off you irrelevant c**t.

So irrelevant that you needed to reply to me. Anyway I owe you an apology, some reason I thought you was a Cardiff fan, we've had a few here trolling , I'm not in the habit of telling swans fans to fuck off. Sorry.

This is a Saturday night thread and no mistake.

Put up your dukes, let’s get down to it.

the issue is Phil he left it as long as he could before he did one, no benefit to the club! only one person !

Exactly this, all of those on here who laud Cooper are deluded. We played absolutely terrible football with absolutely no attacking intent barring individual brilliance from Ayew who was clearly a step above championship level.
All the stats from last season show we overperformed massively from where we should have been. Regularly luckily winning a game 1 nil despite the other team having better chances.
I said at the end of last season that we would be right down there this year, Martin has a huge job on his hands trying to get a team together from the mess he was left.
Lets hope he is good enough to fix it.

Vetchonian's gonna have you for that.

We're in a rebuild process. We knew that going in. Allied to Covid cases in critical areas we're far from our best at the moment, so we're undoubtedly going to be a bit "Bi Polar" as a team for a while.

On the plus side we've got at least one forward who looks the real deal in Piroe. A bit more stability and creativity behind him and we should easily attain the solid mid table slot most people expected beforehand.

We need to go shopping for players in the Dutch leagues and only sign players who JVZ says are terrible. Guaranteed success.

To answer the OP, it's not quite working at the moment but I don't see us turning back now. This is the kind of football we wanted to be playing and the reason Cooper got so much criticism. Our main problem, and it's been a problem for years, is the lack of movement off the ball. It's not just a question of players making runs into the channels, it's also about players coming short and given the player on the ball multiple options. Whether that's a fitness issue, as Martin alluded to, or a mindset issue, I don't know. But the fact of the matter is until we get to that point, which may require a change of personnel, we are going to struggle.

Exactly, this is going to take time. I’ve kind of written off this season already in terms of being anywhere near the top...as long as we see this system improve and sign some players who are suitable then I’d be happy. The main thing for me is that we aren’t relegated in the process.

I think we just have to stick with it. Next season will hopefully be far more interesting in terms of success.

You're a lot closer to the club than me, so could have this completely wrong. But I thought the summer problems were less about Cooper leaving us in a state and more about the owners not backing us. Cooper did what he thought he had to do to get results. And he brought in some quality loan deals to try and make us competitive. I presumed he saw what the future held, wasn't happy with the level of backing from the owners and forecast a bit of a sh*tshow. And that's why he wanted out. As I say, I could be completely wrong.

I don’t think Cooper had anything to gain by staying with us. His stock as fairly high to people outside of the club, and he knew that with Ayew leaving, we’d only be going one direction.
