The Cullen experiment

I can't help thinking the ship has sailed. I'd send him to Newport, see if he can make it at that level. Hard to see him making it higher than League 1 I'm afraid, and that's far from being guaranteed.

He’s not good enough. Everyone wants him to be because he’s a local boy that has come through the academy system.
He’s 22 and I know the guy was an exception but Rooney was 16.
Take the rose tinted glasses off.

I probably agree, but McBurnie was also rubbished, so let’s just see. If he’s crap, Martin won’t play him.

I don’t know what it’s like at other clubs but Swans fans always seem to massively overrate young players.

I think it’s common. Wishful thinking.

Mcburnie was prolific in Prem League 2, along with Dan James and those 2 were always gonna shine being first team in the championship

As ive said, I dont think hes rubbish, but hes a good league 1/average championship striker, he'll never be good enough to be first choice
When you have Byers being shipped out whos around the same ability its a bit confusing why hes still around, I was expecting him to be loaned out, maybe he still will

Well we'd better get pirlo in our what ever his name is, to see if he can hit the onion bag or rise we are fucked because Lowe ain't gunna score.

You forgot to mention his shot across the keeper in the 2nd half that produced an 9/10 save...
Give the young lad time to breathe and learn his trade at Championship level before flicking the switch aye 👍

This is an unforgiving league, we can't take that gamble, it's best for him and us if he can learn somewhere else, preferably a loan, he's had his chances and played decent against a reserve Nottm Forest.. but that's it, he's been rubbish except that game, if he wasn't local, he'd be getting pelters

Glad to see the " Fans have to be patient " from earlier this week has been headed.
Cullen almost scored two today - one brilliantly saved by their keeper. If one of those had hit home you have all been lauding him.
Likewise Lowe who had a good game today IMHO.
Also yesterday Paterson was written off by many on here and on other social media sites. Again IMHO he was MOTM today and will do well for us

There were an awful lot of people slating mcburnie for the entire time he was here saying he wasn't good enough and would never cut it. Even some still did so when he was banging them in..People see what they want to see

McBurnie could trap a ball, head a ball and link up play, he also had a knack with crosses, this assessment on Cullen is from 20 plus games where he hasn't shown any of these skills

Some good movement from him today and he certainly knows how to ghost past defenders.

Think he needs to adapt his finishing style - he always goes for a deft touch whereas a better option is to slam it.

Clueless, absolutely clueless as per, Rooney had good players if not great players around him at Everton supplying great balls for him to convert and massively moreso at your MU , Cullen ain't had that, Cullen is the most natural gifted goalscorer we've had in yrs. Look behind Cullen before making an ill judged opinion.

Stick to looking out for UFO's

Where are these natural gifted goals he's scored? I remember Courtney Baker Richardson scoring a few goals and he showed the same amount of skill as Cullen currently.. people will defend him to the hilt because he's local, CBR had both barrels because he wasn't one of us

Yeah but didn't stop many from voicing that he was garbage. As for Cullen, let's see what he is like in a more open gameplan. Cooper strangled creative offensive players. Give him this season and see how he progessss
