Experiment not working?

he knew that with Ayew leaving, we’d only be going one direction.

Wouldn't say that, although I don't doubt that he knew his ability to keep scraping results with his style of football was going to be seriously limited without Ayew, hence him trying to wangle another job all summer with zero success.

I think some need to calm down a bit.

Nah, fack that. I've been drinking. I'm up for an argument with all you fackers. Just call me Monmouth 123.

Only if you delete everything, apologise and then un-apologise.

A good old fashioned poor display from the Swans will always lead to a good old fashioned internet argument

As I said earlier Martin has a big couple of weeks ahead of him. BUt we always knew that, the state of us at the end of last season was not good.

It's the exact reason that Cooper wanted out, he knew what state he had left us in

This, this, this!

To answer the OP, it's not quite working at the moment but I don't see us turning back now. This is the kind of football we wanted to be playing and the reason Cooper got so much criticism. Our main problem, and it's been a problem for years, is the lack of movement off the ball. It's not just a question of players making runs into the channels, it's also about players coming short and given the player on the ball multiple options. Whether that's a fitness issue, as Martin alluded to, or a mindset issue, I don't know. But the fact of the matter is until we get to that point, which may require a change of personnel, we are going to struggle.

Hell plops. I'm not usually in agreeance with you but that is spot on.
