• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I agree with both of you regarding Grimes, but I think, ANH you're allowing dislike of Duff to colour his opinion on Grimes' performances under him. It was more than two games where he finally started looking like the player people claim he is. It was a solid run of 5-6 games, that run that included both those fixtures you mention.

Like Neefie says, Duff forced him out of his comfort zone. Something none of Cooper, Martin or Williams have tried to do. We need to get rid for precisely the reasons you suggest.

I'll never remember it like you do, but the one thing we can both agree on is that the guy has way too much power within the club.

It's not going to happen probably, but I'd love a relegated side like Ipswich or Saints to come in for him this summer, plonk a couple of million on the table, and we can take it and totally reshape the engine room of this side.

Not even sure he'd leave.

Think he's strolls around Fairwood like he owns the place by what it appears from outside.

Wouldn't surprise me at all mate.

Like I say I think we're stuck with him unfortunately. Unless we get a manager in who has the balls to take him on, and at same time is allowed several of his own men to come in so it's the manager who controls the dressing room.
