Florian Bianchini

Issue is your judging young players like EOM, bianchani, Vip, MPH on 6 months of football....Where are the days when patience is shown and people get judged on their second season? It's the culture these today to just disregard though unfortunately from a handful of appearances. Football is confidence based, you only have to look at Pep and Man city to see that, give the team and manager a break ffs.
If we're going to give MPH a second season then we're really done for.

Your clapping of constant mediocrity is what trickles down from the fan base onto the pitch, you are what's called in the trade an enabler.

Ok so name a player we've signed in recent memory who's proved your 'second season' rule.

Tymon was shite last season, surprise surprise he's shite this season.

Same with Ronald.

Yates didn't even make a second season he was so shite.

Our scouting/talent spotting is so bad 95% of the time, so if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, well.....

By all means give those players another 18 months if you like, but I virtually guarantee you they'll be as crap then as they are now.
I agree with you on this. most the players we have signed don't even show glimpses of good thigs to suggest that a little more patience will reap rewards.
I think MPH and Bianchini have though. The former is frustrating because he'll do one good thing and then follow it up with something shit 5 mins later. The latter makes some good runs and gets in good positions but just needs to learn how to put his foot through the ball and take opportunities.

However Vipotnik and Eom are prime examples of 2 players who have shown very little quality. Eom's best game was against that Portuguese team in pre season, he hasn't shown anything of note since.

Not having that. Wasn't a great bit of play to lose the ball, but got caught on the blind-side and being a bit weak is hardly suicidal.

Absolutely not about having an entire thread made just slag one of our players off for a single poor bit of play. Especially when he's looked bright in a lot of his appearances for us.
.
The voice of reason in a silly thread.

Flo is yet another player being asked to do stuff he shouldn't necessarily be doing. The way in which Willy shouts at him to drop into mid-pivot (and beyond) to squeeze, harry, and chase is worse than plain stupid. The Willy does this to regain Possession, at all costs. Regain and Retain possession in the already congested Fat Middle. It's worse than negligence, it's arrogant self-indulgence.

Flo's best and favored position wide left cutting in to unleash his fierce, potent weapon. He should be playing wide in a dynamic, expansive fast paced front 3, feeding off the VIP at the spearhead, Franco and Tymon.

You've left Matty out.

Tymon/yates/Ronald get tarnished on for being crap but there combined transfers still cost less than what Birmingham payed for a striker in league 1. We are paying peanuts in today's football market yet your all expecting miracles. Yates has a decent scoring record, bought in by duff and obviously once he left new manager to ideas. Same with tymon, bought in as a left wing back.

We scan the European markets as costs are lower but it's always going to be a gamble if they pay off. We have unearthed gems like Piroe in recent times but to hammer Eom when he's moved over from asia, completely new environment, physicality and missed 6 weeks in the middle is criminal. Same with Ronald, for a measly 1m ish which is probably the same value Rory fallon or Kevin amankwah back in the day we have aguy who has made a decent contribution in 12 months, he get bums off feet and at least offers a threat from the left side.

Ronald is probably the most frustrating out of all our new recent signings. We saw glimpses of what he is capable of when he first arrived. At this moment in time he looks lost, his can't beat his full back, is that a lack of confidence and his positional sense is severally lacking.

There's a reason he cost peanuts and is currently marking Josh key for a team in free fall in the Championship.

As for Tymon, left to concentrate on being a defender first, he could do ok for us. His lapses in concentration are a concern though.

Jury is out on Yates, every striker we sign ends up being gash, I'm looking more to Williams for being the culprit of this rather than the players ability.

I agree with Eom, the lad needs to be cut some slack.

A reasoned response 👍
Wingers are a funny breed, you only have to look at forest last year when elanga and Hudson looked useless and this year world beaters when confidence is sky high.

As a club we have been very lucky over the years to unearthed quality strikers constantly, goals win games and winning games breeds confidence. It's as simple as that.

I started paying attention to Ronald when he was off the ball. In his defence he tries to find space and is regularly on the move, but his plight is not helped by our static build up play and by the time the ball reaches him he has someone stuck on him, which makes his task somewhat more difficult.

He’s also one of our best defenders at the moment as well.

It's true that we're too static and the build up is so slow, any chance of space in behind is gone very quickly due to this.

Watch Van Dijk for Liverpool and the diagonal balls over the top he plays.

This is what Ronald needs, not a five yard pass with two players marking him.

Confidence in anything we do is vital. The lad does look void of any at the moment.

I guess the question is are we getting the best out of him the way we play? Or does he just look lost because he's just not very good.

I sincerly hope its down to the way we play and I base this purely based on glimpses of quality in him.

IMO bang on the money. As a winger it is difficult to beat a defender from a stagnant position unless you are that fast over five yards to knock a ball past a player. He needs diagonal through or over the top balls when he is moving which he attempts to make the space for. Our possession football is killing that creativity.

A dink over the top. One of the best attacking passes known to man.
