• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Lingard has now signed. Supposedly £80,000, up to £120,000 with bonuses, a week. 1 year deal.

Safe to say the pressure is on for Cooper, he's out of his comfort zone so to speak, expectations will be on a top 8 finish minimum...

That's a bit excessive but he drastically exceeded their wildest dreams this season. Unless they're adrift or really struggling pretty sure he won't be sacked.

Although their owner can be erratic.

I'm not sure to be honest, they are absolutely throwing cash at it, much like Fulham did a few seasons ago, if Forest aren't pulling up Trees (see what I did there) come February the owners bums might start to twitch, I actually think they will do well fwiw ...

I don’t want to sound rude here but why does anyone give a f*ck how much money Nottingham Forest are spending?

Because we're football fans probably

Oh right. I’m not sure what difference it means to Swans fans mind.

Ex manager, a club we've tussled with previously, they're scabs, extortionate spending. Hardly a stretch that people want to discuss them.

No way will they be expecting top 8 minimum, despite the spending spree.

Any promoted team's ambition is to stay up, regardless of how much they spend. I haven't been following the PL transfers at all so I've no idea what others are doing compared to Forest...but I'd expect 17th would do them nicely for this season. They'll probably aim for something like 15th as a target.
