General Election ...

So, Parliament will prorogue for the election probably late next week. The new parliament will sit for about two weeks in mid July then go into recess until September. Then another recess after a sitting for a couple of weeks in September for the party conferences and then they’ll sit from October until month long Christmas recess. With a half term break.

Nice work if you can get it.

Students between addresses

It’s all damage limitation, but he won’t care a toss as he’ll be on the next private jet out.
He can stay the fukout as well and he can take his laccies like Cameron and Hunt with him, he can tie Boris to one wing and truss to the other wing and tie Mogg the Smog to the tail fin.

Good riddance.

Think he just wants to get this sh*t over with. Why prolong the agony.
He's already prolonged the agony for at least a year, he should have called it, at the latest, last Autumn when people were clamouring for an election but they've spent their time since then making things worse and salting the earth for labour who are going to have a massive job on their hands just trying to prioritise. Where do they start?

NHS: Current status, absolutely f*cked
Immigration: Current status, absolutely f*cked
Water: Current status, absolutely f*cked
Prisons: Current status, absolutely f*cked
Schools: Current status, absolutely f*cked
Hospitals: Current status, absolutely f*cked
GP Surgeries: Current status, absolutely f*cked
Housing: Current status, absolutely f*cked
Cost of living: Current status, absolutely f*cked
Energy prices: Current status, absolutely f*cked

You could be forgiven for thinking there may be a pattern developing here.

It's all your own doing, it's not going to change, Labour are winning, but it won't change, there's a specific reason why it won't

You do realise that most of these fall within the remit of the Wales Labour government, don't you?

...I'm a conspiracy theorist and was just thinking whether the fascist press has unearthed a few nasties to substantially discredit Labour.

Can't wait to get the putrid gaslighting bastards gone. It can't come quick enough.
They’re an abomination lot, but don’t write them off because they’ve got almost all the media behind them and there’s going to be an onslaught of anti Labour pro Conservative articles and stories being rammed down ou4 throats.

I guess Sunak will be claiming for a new suit on expenses.

But they're mostly working with the money that the central government gives, which the Tories have steadily cut. Same thing with the councils.
Even more important for them to spend it wisely.
