Really sad that today was his end and you could see he was emotional.

£20m and let him go for free. Plus £14.5m in wages minus what we clawed back from him going on loan to Turkey. Quite staggering

Without him we'd have been struggling in League One this season just finished

Without him we could have afforded the wages of 3-4 other players to round out the squad.
Not to say that he didn't give everything for us but its worth putting that fact out there

The king is dead, long live the king!

There are times he’s carried the team and his presence will be missed, but he’ll be offski and someone else with less ability will take his place. Time to reset the project and rebuild.

Dont worry according to some of our fans and so called TV commentators he has teams in the prem and Europe lining up for him?

Really wouldn't surprise me if he rocked up at Brentford...

I really hope so. He’d do zero in the prem and totally fuck up their footballing and passing approach. It would be a sweet poison pill present from us.

before anyone starts, we needed to put up with him as Copper had neither the wit nor the skill to do anything than rely on him doing something out of the blue now and again, and ultimately we paid him millions to lead us nowhere. He hardly broke sweat on Saturday. Whatever would have happened without him (and I believe we’d still be a championship club at the worst, but either be 15m richer or have potentially filled some squad holes), then I’m glad we no longer are the ones paying his obscene wages.
