• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

We went to the Gourmet Cafe a few months ago.
It was fucking magnificent.

My beloved bride had sweet and sour sea bass. ⤵️
Cheers Dar, that will be our next but one Chinese restaurant visit in the big city. We have to go to Sichuan Savour (next week is the first option). Was the atmosphere good in the Gourmet Cafe and was wine available or bring your own?

I'll take your word for it 😂

I'm not a huge fan of sea food, just me being a minge.
Fresh Fish is best cooked when its at its freshest and none of this farmed crap either and just grilled or baked as it is with none of these sauces that same places do it adds nothing to the fish, had Plaice down in a so called "fish restaurant" at Poole Harbour about 6 weeks ago, its was awful and expensive, never again.

Can't see the point on them serving it up with the head still on mind, but nothing better than fresh fish.

This is all very well but the burning question is:

Is it ok to wear a hat when dining out?
Absolutely OK. Also suggest from late November til mid March a nice warm coat and a pair of gloves as well.
